The solution? Mycelium.
The fungi process, turning food waste into value.
Adaptable and circular production
Depending on where your feed production is located, our fermentation technology allows us to produce mycelium used for feed close to where both industrial sidestreams and feed manufacturers are situated.
Utilizing industrial sidestreams
We are untapping the huge potential of agrifood sidestreams that exist in Europe, and grow our fungi in fermentation chambers that results in a high-quality, dried ingredient. Adding a great nutritional content and high a protein content, all based on natural, FDA and GRAS-approved strains already consumed by humans around the globe in different diets.
Tailored for your needs within animal feed
Seaqure labs is able to produce different reliable ingredients for your needs, such as mycelium drop-in ingredients for both the aquaculture, pet and animal feed industry. We have finished a successful Rainbow trout feeding trial using our ingredient, and have a poultry trial ongoing, with more trials to come.
An ancient technological process
Some of the earliest evidence of intentional fermentation comes from archaeological findings in regions such as the Middle East, China, and Mesopotamia, where fermented beverages like beer and wine were produced. We are taking this ancient process, called Solid-state fermentation and apply it to fungi instead, using safe strains already consumed by humans.

What is mycelium?
These microscopic organisms have immense potential as a future sustainable protein source due to their efficient use of resources like water and land, as well as their extremely low carbon footprint compared to traditional livestock farming. By harnessing mycelium, we can address the growing demand for protein while mitigating environmental impact, making them a promising solution for sustainable nutrition in the future, fostering a healthier planet and healthier diets for generations to come.
